Being a graduate of the Amsterdam School of the Arts, Alec has always been drawn to composition. This distinguishes her way of looking at images. With a background in the creative field that requires thinking about light, sound, scenery and costume styling, she senses the 'bigger picture'.
Within her own work, she likes to use these skills. She knows how to direct people in front of the lens so they feel comfortable within their own body language. Her style is described as colorful, inclusive and uncomfortable.
